VNU Exhibitions Europe, de organisator van de internationale beurs VIV Europe heeft zojuist een bericht gestuurd naar alle deelnemers en bezoekers. Het bericht (in het Engels) luidt als volgt:
Dear exhibitors, dear visitors,
Despite the unfortunate situation at many European airports as a consequence of the volcanic eruption in Iceland, VIV Europe 2010 will take place as scheduled. The fair opens open on Tuesday April 20. So far, 85% of the exhibitors have been able to reach Utrecht in time. Market leaders from Feed to Meat are ready to show an unrivalled number of innovations. We call on visitors to come to Utrecht.
We will guarantee a warm welcome to visitors who make the effort to come to VIV Europe. Several hospitality measures are taken to limit the impact on visitors. Parking at the Jaarbeurs venue is free of charge for visitors. Upon arrival, coffee and croissants are served.
TRAVEL INTO UTRECHT – other than by car
We are continuously monitoring the situation on Schiphol Airport and will inform all exhibitors and pre-registered visitors immediately once the air travel from Schiphol Airport will be resumed. We urge European visitors and exhibitors to search for alternative means of transportation.
Visitors to VIV Europe 2010 who are scheduled to arrive by plane are asked to contact their airlines or travel agents for current information about alternate transportation options."
