This year’s Exhibiting Show, which took place at Earls Court 2 for the first time, has been hailed a winner. The exhibition certainly set its stamp on the market, further reinforcing its position as the gathering place of the events industry and the platform for top level networking and meaningful business.
Exhibiting Show moved to its new venue for 2007 to further develop the range and profile of the visitors who attend. The feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike clearly shows that the exhibition has reached the next level, with companies reporting extremely high quality leads from right across the complete spectrum of the live event sector.
The show’s programme of seminars was also particularly well attended throughout the two days with very few seats available for visitors who had not pre-booked. And, the Ops Club for exhibition organisers saw over 50 of the industry’s top names visiting the show to take part in the discussions and workshops.
Education was an important element of this year’s Exhibiting Show with sessions covering topics such as the top ten online marketing chart by ASP, experience marketing and the power of brands, presented by Kim Myhre of George P Johnson, and the intriguing session entitled ‘the exhibition is dead – long live the exhibition’ by Andrew Haigh MICE International, all full to capacity.
In addition to providing the perfect opportunity to find new suppliers and gain inspiration for future events, Exhibiting Show has also developed the reputation for providing event industry professionals with a forum to network and do business. All of the informal refreshment and networking areas were busy throughout the two days with visitors and exhibitors exchanging ideas and making contact. The Live Demonstration area drew large crowds and the Great Debate in the show’s 200 seat arena generated lively and controversial exchanges about the value of visitor attendance audits.
Exhibitor quotes
“The move to Earls Court was a major step forward for Exhibiting Show,” says Simon Burton of event organiser Exposure Event Creations. “The event looked fantastic in its new setting and exhibitors pulled out all of the stops to create stunning exhibition stands. The programme of seminars, workshops and live demonstrations created another important dimension to the show, and ensured that visitors went away not only inspired but also having gained a more in-depth knowledge of their sector and new business opportunities.”
Exhibiting Show 2008 will take place on 25 and 26 June at Earls Court. For more information call Exposure Event Creations on 0870 160 4540 or visit www.exhibitingshow.com.
